PhotoShop Magic

Open to both members and non-members, Geoff Bromley, our vice-chairman, demonstrated his skills on Photoshop.

From a simple but very effective method of changing colour to B & W using the Gradient Map, he progressed to the somewhat more advanced use of various tools and Channels to achieve the fabulous enhancement of a portrait taking it from what was virtually a snapshot to something more akin to a magazine cover.

He also produced a railway montage and a film poster both of which had very suitable accompanying music.

This was a very well attended evening where the hall was literally full.  A total sell out!

During the meeting a request was made for some instructions in order to achieve the portrait result.  These along with the start and end pictures are available below.  Be sure to click the picture links for high resolution versions of the pictures.
