July 07 Competition

We commenced the evening with a presentation on What Makes a Good Photo.  This is the first of three talks by Geoff Bromley which he presented along with a very informative handout - this is now also available on our Member Tips web site.

This month we ran the first of our competitions.  It was a resounding success with over 40 entries.  As a result we will now run competitions every other month for a while to see how they go.

The format was simple.  Members brought in their photos and each was displayed in turn with the judge awarding points out of 20 and offering positive assistance for improvement where appropriate.  Photos were identified by number only in order to save any embarrassment for those that scored low marks.
