AGM - 2008
The problem with an AGM is that they can be pretty boring but not ours - oh no!!

Here Brian addresses an attentive audience with only Geoff sleeping but a quick nudge just a short while later and he's up and away announcing the winners of the varoius annual awards.
Unfortunately Dan Blades wasn't able to be at the AGM to accept his award for winning Group 3

But Bob Darts certainly was available to take his certificate for the Best Improved Photographer of the year. Just one year ago Bob attended a beginners course for Elements 5. From there he went on to do the CS beginners course and a Portrait course. So confident, he is now assisting with the delivery of the latest Elements course and early 2009 will be doing a demonstration of his own on creative art - congratulations to Bob.
However, on to our Image of the Year award which was a real fun exercise. The idea was that the images were all displayed on boards at the side of the hall and members had voting slips where in "Weakest Link" style they voted off those images they did not want to win. I suspect a bit of tactical voting may have taken place but the winner was.........

.........Martin Kemp. Amazingly though, Martin not only won but has his other picture in second place. Third place was taken by Geoff Bromley.
And here's a better shot of the winning entry.........

............as chosen by the members.
